October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and KSKY 106.9 is asking the Kavalry to help us make a difference for Montanans fighting breast cancer.

What started as a spur-of-the-moment idea on the KSKY Morning Show has quickly turned into something much bigger.

We’re calling it Bras For a Cause, and our goal is simple:

Raise $10,000 for Pack the Place in Pink!

Pack the Place in Pink is a Montana organization founded by former Bobcat Vicki Carle, and they provide financial assistance to Montanans battling breast cancer. We know breast cancer has touched a lot of families across the Gallatin Valley — including many members of the Kavalry — so when this idea came together, it just felt like the right thing to do.

And the response from local businesses has been incredible.

How Bras For a Cause Works

We’ll have drop-off locations throughout the Bozeman area where you can bring bras to donate.

Each participating business has stepped up and pledged “A Buck a Bra.”

That means:

Bring a bra to one of our participating drop-off locations
Drop it into the big PINK L & L Site Services donation bin
That participating business will donate $1 for each bra collected at its location, up to $1,000
The money raised will benefit Pack the Place in Pink
Our overall goal is to raise $10,000 to help Montanans fighting breast cancer

Pretty simple.

You bring the bras. Our Kavalry businesses bring the bucks. Together, we help Montana families fighting breast cancer.

Donations Will Be Taken Starting on Tuesday!

Guys, You Can Help Too!

Don’t have a bra to donate?

We figured that might be a problem for some of you.

You can still be part of Bras For a Cause by making a monetary donation directly to Pack the Place in Pink.

Every dollar helps support Montanans going through the financial and emotional challenges that come with battling breast cancer.

A Huge Thank You

We also want to give a big shout-out to L & L Site Services, which is providing brand-new PINK garbage cans for us to use as donation bins throughout the campaign.

And an enormous thank-you goes to all of the local businesses that have stepped forward to:
