Montana First Lady Susan Gianforte joined Dave Wooten on the KSKY Morning Show to talk about Give Like Dolly Day and the difference Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is making for Montana families.
Celebrated September 25, Give Like Dolly Day encourages people to support their local Imagination Library programs, helping put free books into children’s hands and inspiring a lifelong love of reading.
Montana’s connection grew stronger in June 2023, when Gianforte partnered with Dolly Parton to announce a statewide expansion. That effort made the program available in all 56 counties, including right here in the Gallatin Valley. Registered children receive a free, age-appropriate book in the mail each month from birth until their fifth birthday.
Now, Montana is preparing to celebrate an incredible milestone: presenting a Montana child with the program’s one millionth book distributed in our state! That’s a million opportunities for bedtime stories, discoveries and time together.
