A big name in wildlife adventure is coming to Bozeman to help a little Montana school make some big improvements.
Local wildlife filmmaker Casey Anderson joined me on the KSKY Morning Show today to talk about a fundraiser featuring his good friend Coyote Peterson, the Emmy Award-winning host of Brave Wilderness.
Coyote will appear at the Ellen Theatre on Saturday, October 17, at 2:30 p.m. for a live speaking event, with proceeds benefiting Pine Creek School. He’s donating his time to support the school and its students.
You probably know Casey as the man who raised Brutus the bear and founded Montana Grizzly Encounter. His work has taken him around Montana and across the world, filming wildlife and sharing those adventures. He also has the wildlife and adventure YouTube channel Endless Venture.
Now, his friendship with Coyote is helping bring this event to our backyard.
Pine Creek School serves only about 40 students, but its roots run deep. Originally built in 1904 as a one-room schoolhouse, it remains a piece of Montana history.
The school community is raising money for a much-needed new playground and other improvements. For a school that small, projects like these take a community effort.
That’s what makes this afternoon at the Ellen worth putting on your calendar: a chance to hear from a familiar wildlife personality while helping local kids.
